Histadrut persuades Foreign Ministry employees to work

Foreign Ministery employees responded to the Histadrut secretary general's appeal and agreed to start preparing for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington. Netanyahu is expected to meet US President Barack Obama next week.

The chairman of the civil servants' workers committee said that the Histadrut head had explained the meeting was of national importance and promised that the Histadrut would be involved in resolving the crisis. Strikes in the public sector have caused extensive difficulties during various visits of diplomats from overseas recently. (Roni Sofer)
