Ayalon: Only humanitarian crisis in Gaza is Shalit
Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Maj. Gen. Eitan Dangot said to foreign ambassadors at Kerem Shalom crossing that the list of equipment prohibited from entering the Gaza Strip will soon be completed and authorized by the cabinet.
Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said to the ambassadors, "The only humanitarian issue in Gaza is Gilad Shalit. There is no shortage in the Strip." He noted that some 10,000 tons of food enter the coastal enclave everyday, in comparison with 25,000 tons of food for all of Israel. (Roni Sofer)
