Woman, son suspected of vandalizing tombstones in Beersheba
Police arrested a 58-year-old woman and her 33-year-old son suspected of vandalizing tombstones and setting fire to a bench and trash can at the new Beersheba cemetery.
The graveyard was under police surveillance due to similar incidents in the past, and police are now examining whether the two were responsible for the previous acts of vandalism at the site. The suspects denied that they were involved in other incidents of vandalism, and are slated to stand remand hearing Saturday night. (Ilana Curiel)
