Gunmen kill left-wing activist in Philippines
Gunmen killed the leader of a left-wing party in the Philippines on Monday, one week after President Benigno Aquino III took office vowing to put an end to political assassinations.
Fernando Baldomero, who escaped an attempt on his life earlier this year, was gunned down in front of his house as he was about to take his child to school, according to local human rights group Karapatan. (AP)
