Ashkenazi: Military dialogue with Turkey continues

Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi said in the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that dialogue with Turkey continues on all military levels, and is even promoting joint exercises. According to the chief of staff, Turkey is undergoing a change, but opposition to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan exists.
The chief of staff emphasized the importance of ties with Turkey, saying, "The ties are important, and we must maintain them even in turbulent times. I, personally, am in contact with the Turkish chief of staff, and we have spoken even after the flotilla." (Attila Somfalvi)
