Hezbollah attempts to take root in Mexico thwarted
Mexican authorities stymied a plan by Hezbollah to establish logistics infrastructure in the country that would held the organization take root on the American continent in order to carry out terror attacks against Israeli and western targets, according to a report in Kuwaiti daily al-Seyassah. The report has not been confirmed by any other sources.
According to the allegations, Hezbollah is trying to leverage the high concentration of Shiite Muslims on the continent in order to establish "frontal outposts" for operational purposes. (Roee Nahmias)
