Meretz Chairman Chaim Oron commended a decision to cut the defense budget, but stressed that the Finance Ministry's other proposed budget cuts "are nothing but a collection of regressive moves that mainly hurt the weaker classes".
"The Treasury and the government are refusing to demand more from those who have it, and prefer the short and brutal path of pulverizing the weak," Oron added. (Attila Somfalvi)
