Barak: Good chance for direct talks with Palestinians

Defense Minister Ehud Barak met with American Senators John McCain, Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham and told them he had spoken to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following his meeting with US President Barack Obama.
"I am under the impression that there is a good chance we are close to direct talks with the Palestinians on all the issues on the agenda. I hope that in the coming days we will discover that this can be moved forward. The prime minister's successful visit expresses the depth of our relations with the Obama administration," Barak said.
