Knesset grants preliminary approval to reuse of grey water bill
In a preliminary reading the Knesset plenum approved a bill proposal which would enable the reuse of grey water. The bill was proposed by the environmental lobby, MK Dov Chenin (Hadash) and MK Nitzan Horowitz (Meretz).
The bill would allow reuse of water from sinks, showers, washing machines and dishwashers for irrigation and toilet flushing. Following the decision, Chenin said it was a groundbreaking step in efforts to save water. (Yael Darel)
