Higher Ed. Council to be responsible for teacher training colleges

Teacher training colleges are to move from being the responsibility of the Education Ministry to that of the Planning and Budget Committee of the Council for Higher Education.

The decision was taken during debates on the five-year higher education program being formed by the Council, together with the Education Ministry and students. The decision means colleges will receive new budgets and undergo far-reaching reforms. (Yaheli Moran Zelikovich)
