Abbas says waiting for 'signals' from Israel on borders
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas says he is waiting for "signals" from Israel on security-related issues and the borders issue before agreeing to resume the direct negotiations.
"We are ready for direct talks if we receive signals from Israel on both these questions," he said during an official visit to Ethiopia. "We have given our offers to Washington and to Jerusalem, and are still waiting for an answer from Israel." (AFP)
