Peres on Amital death: Jewish people lost great teacher
President Shimon Peres sent a letter of condolences to the family of Har Eztion hesder yeshiva head Rabbi Yehuda Amital who died on Friday. "With the passing of Rabbi Yehuda Amital, the Jewish people have lost a great teacher and man led to paths of wisdom," the letter said.
Amital was also founder of the Meimad movement and one of the heads of the religious Left. He was 85-year-old at the time of death. (Ynet)
