Government approves appointment of Sao Paulo consul-general

The government has approved the appointment of Ilan Sztulman as Israel's consul-general in Sao Paulo, Brazil, despite the objection of Foreign Ministry diplomats, who say he has not bee trained in a cadets' course.
According to the diplomats, Sztulman is a political appointment of Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman. Sztulman, who was born in Sao Paulo, has been working in the Foreign Ministry for the past nine years. (Roni Sofer)
