Jewish Agency: Conversion bill defines many as inferior Jews
None
The chairman of the Jewish Agency, Natan Sharansky, lamented the approval of a conversion bill by the Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Committee.
"We must not divide the people with a bill which, in the eyes of many of the world's Jews, defines them as inferior," Sharansky said. "I hope the prime minister will convey a clear message that the bill will not be allowed to move forward before all necessary debates are held on those who may be hurt by it." (Ynet)
