Haredim block road in protest of Jaffa excavations

Over 100 haredim blocked Bar Ilan road in Jerusalem with a garbage container, and set three additional bins on fire in the neighborhood of Mea Shearim, in protest of ancient excavations in Jaffa. The protesters clashed with police officers who arrived at the scene. Shortly after, the road was opened to traffic. (Shmulik Grossman)
