European Commission, PA condemn house razing in east J'lem
The European Commission and Palestinian Authority have condemned the razing of homes in east Jerusalem on Tuesday. European Commission President José Manuel Barroso expressed his concern at recent developments in the capital during a press conference in Brussels with Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
The European official noted that the razing of homes was in violation of international law and constitutes an obstacle to peace. He further added that the move threatens to render the two-state solution impossible. (AFP)
