MK Zoabi to Knesset: You were supposed to defend my rights

Knesset Member Hanin Zoabi (Balad), who was on board the Marmara ship as part of the Gaza-bound flotilla, addressed fellow Knesset members during a debate on the revocation of her privileges and said, "One can't argue there is a democracy…you were supposed to defend my right to express my opinions…protect me from the racism which targeted me for my views."
MK Zoabi added, "The world knows how far away from it (democracy) you are. I stand not only for my people's views, but for a global consensus." (Yael Branovsky)
