Regiment commander, soldier convicted in Na'alin shooting

A military court on the Kirya military base convicted Lt. Col. Omri Borberg, former commander of Regiment 71 in the Armored Corps, for attempted threats and unfit behavior in an incident in which a rubber bullet was fired at short range at a bound Palestinian in Na'alin in 2008.
In addition, the military court convicted the soldier who fired the shot, Staff Sgt. (res.) Leonardo Corea, for illegal use of his weapon and unfit behavior. (Hanan Greenberg)
