Cabinet to vote on loyalty oath to Jewish, democratic state for new citizens
Among a series of new regulations, the cabinet is expected to pass a stipulation that those seeking Israeli citizenship be obligated to swear their allegiance to the State of Israel as Jewish and democratic country.
Coming on the backdrop of increasing refugee infiltration into the country, those seeking citizenship will no longer make do with the declaration of loyalty to be "a loyal citizen to the State of Israel." (Roni Sofer)
