Turkish soldiers killed in clash with rebels

Kurdish rebels killed six Turkish soldiers in a clash in the southeast of Turkey, state broadcaster TRT said on Tuesday.

Military officials would not comment on the number of casualties but told Reuters a firefight broke out overnight after separatist Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) rebels attacked an army unit in Hakkari province, near the border with Iraq. (Reuters)
