UK's prime minister understands US anger over BP oil spill

British Prime Minister David Cameron said Tuesday he understands US anger over the BP Plc oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, but says it is important to both the US and British economies that BP stay strong and stable.

He also said at a joint news conference with President Barack Obama that his government will engage constructively with any US congressional hearings into any BP role in the release of the Lockerbie bomber. (Reuters)
