Magnitude 5.8 quake hits southern Iran

magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck Iran's Gulf coast on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey reported.

 

It said the quake, centered 234 km west of Bandar-e Abbas and close to the Gulf coast, was 34 km deep. It struck at 11:08 p.m. local time. (Reuters)
