MK Zahalka: Citizenship Law is 'ruthless'

Knesset Member Jamal Zahalka (Balad) described the Citizenship Law which forbids the reunification of Palestinian families a "retroactive and ruthless law."
Speaking at a Knesset debate on the law's extension the MK said, "A couple that met and married prior to the law's legislation, not knowing the rules of the game were to change, is also subject to the law. What kind of law is this? What kind of temporary order? To call it racist would be a compliment." (Attila Somfalvi)
