Knesset passes compensation for Gush Katif business owners

The law granting compensation to business owners evacuated from Gush Katif was passed in its second and third readings on Wednesday in the Knesset. The bill was drafted by Coalition Chairman Zeev Elkin (Likud).
The law grants a monthly pension of NIS 4,000 (about $1000) to evacuated business owners that have not been rehabilitated or who are of retirement age. (Zvi Lavi)
