Russia: Court's ruling does not legalize Kosovo independence

Russia's Foreign Ministry said the World Court's decision on Thursday that Kosovo's declaration of independence from Serbia did not violate international law did not provide a legal basis for Kosovo's independence.

The court delivered its non-binding ruling in The Hague earlier in the day by a 9-5 majority. (Reuters)
