Court rejects Salah's appeal

None

High Court Justice Edmond Levy rejected an appeal filed by Raed Salah, the leader of the leader of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement, against a district court's decision to sentence him to five months in prison for attacking a police officer.

"Salah led a group of people in an unauthorized rally which was nothing more than an attempt to incite hatred and tension surrounding the renovation at the entrance to the Temple Mount," the judge said in his ruling. (Aviad Glickman)
