Shin Bet: Abuse claims part of smear campaign
The Shin Bet rejected allegations of abuse during interrogations raised by the attorneys of "Jewish terrorist" Haim Pearlman and David Sitbon and stated that the suspects' interrogation was being held under court supervision.
"As part of the proceedings, the suspects were asked of their wellbeing and raised no claims allegedly pertaining to abuse," a Shin Bet statement read. The Shin Bet further stated that the claims were part of a "smear campaign launched after the suspects' arrest." (Hanan Greenberg)
