Russian news agencies say a methane explosion at a coal mine in western Siberia has killed one miner and left two hospitalized with burns.
Interfax, RIA Novosti and Itar-Tass cite Emergencies Ministry officials as saying a sudden buildup of the gas at the Krasnogorskaya mine ignited early Saturday as 66 miners were at work, but all of them were evacuated. (AP)
