Taliban: 1 missing US sailor dead, other captured

Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, says a massive search is under way to find the two US Navy sailors missing since Friday, but declined to comment on reports that the Taliban has killed one and is holding the other.
In a telephone interview Sunday with The Associated Press, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said the pair drove into an area of Logar province that is under insurgent control. He says that during a brief gunfight, one American was killed and the other was captured. (AP)
