Police chief says 'special sensitivity' needed during J'lem pride parade

Police Commissioner Dudi Cohen authorized the police operational plan for securing the gay pride parade in Jerusalem slated to take place this Thursday. During a hearing on the matter, Jerusalem District Police Chief Aharon Franco presented a tailored deployment plan in the face of threats from the haredi sector in the city.
"Special sensitivity must be shown for this parade, which is being held near the anniversary of the murder at the Tel Aviv gay youth center," said Cohen during the meeting. (Eli Senyor)
