Lebanon boosts troop presence in south of country

French Ambassador to Lebanon Dennis Pietton announced that the Lebanese military will take up positions in the south of the country after clashes broke out about a month ago between village residents and UNIFIL forces stationed in the south.
"This is a significant advancement that will help UNIFIL forces stationed in Lebanon," said the minister. (AFP)
