Hundreds of officers raze houses in village near Rahat

Some 1,300 police officers have started razing houses in the unrecognized southern village of al-Arkib near Rahat.

Minor clashes broke out between police and the villagers, who protested the demolitions. There were no reports of injuries. Several protesters were detained and turned over for questioning. (Ilana Curiel)
