Russia opposes EU's extra sanctions on Iran

Russia's foreign ministry said on Tuesday the European Union's additional sanctions on Iran undermined international efforts to resolve the nuclear issue in the Islamic Republic, it said in a statement.

Tehran on Monday said it was ready to return to talks on a nuclear fuel swap after the EU agreed tougher sanctions, including a block on oil and gas investment. (Reuters)
