Health Ministry warns against 'natural' weight-loss pills

The Health Ministry warned the public against buying weight-loss pills marketed under various names via the internet and through word of mouth, and described as "natural." According to laboratory tests, the pills contain three times as much medical material as is permitted for weight-loss pills.
About a week and a half ago, it was discovered that a woman was hospitalized after taking such pills. The Ministry called on the public to buy only from reputable stores and ensure that the product contains only ingredients that have been approved by the Ministry. (Meital Yasur-Beit Or)
