Ashkelon mayor: Worst incident since Cast Lead
Ashkelon Mayor Benny Vaknin said after a rocket hit the city Friday morning, "It is a very serious incident. One of the worst since Operation Cast Lead." Vaknin added that most educational institutions in the city were still not properly secured.
The rocket exploded in one of Ashkelon's residential neighborhoods and caused damage to the first two floors of an apartment building. Two people reportedly suffered shock. (Shmulik Haddad)
