Electric Corp: Avoid power-hungry appliances in coming week
Israel Electric Corporation called on the public to avoid using power-hungry appliances from Sunday onward in the afternoon hours because of the expected heat wave.
The company expects electricity demand between Sunday and Thursday to reach some 10,800 megawatts during peak hours between 12:00 and 5:00 pm. The company also warns that any malfunctions in electricity production could lead to a shortage of power because of the current low level of reserve power. (Ynet)
