Foreign workers' kids: PM's softer proposal rejected by gov't

None

The government did not accept Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposal regarding the status of foreign workers' children which outlines terms for an exceptions committee to keep the kids in Israel.

The government approved a harsher decision which more resembles the original law. Shas and Yisrael Beiteinu opposed Netanyahu's proposal while Ministers Sa'ar, Ben-Eliezer and Simhon opposed the harsher version hoping for more easements. (Attila Somfalvi)
