Jordan: We contacted Israel, Lebanon to prevent escalation

Jordanian Prime Minister Samir Rifai said he had contacted the Israeli and Lebanese governments, in order to prevent an escalation in the region.
"We used all diplomatic channels, as per the king's request, to ensure that all sides understand that escalation is pointless during these hard times," said Rifai. (AFP)
