Police to investigate Rabbi accused of sexually exploiting students

The police opened a criminal investigation against Rabbi Mordechai (Motty) Elon, who was accused six months ago of sexually exploiting his students.
At the time, the Attorney General instructed the police to examine the evidence collected against Elon. The initial probe revealed that Elon may be involved in criminal acts, and the police decided to further investigate the case. Rabbi Elon's attorney, Yair Golan, told Ynet in response: "Rabbi Elon did not commit the offence attributed to him. The police investigation came as no surprise." (Kobi Nahshoni and Aviad Glickman)
