3 northern residents indicted for espionage, abduction attempt
The Northern District's Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment with the Nazareth District Court against Majed Shaer, 58 and his son Fadi, 27 on charges of espionage. Mahmoud Masarwa, 62 was also charged.
According to the indictment, the three relayed classified information to a former Majdal Shams resident who moved to Syria and has been working in the Syrian government. It was also noted that the three agreed to help the man extradite a Syrian pilot who deserted the country and escaped to Israel. (Ahiya Raved)
