Lebanese report: Israel wants officer who started clash dismissed
Lebanese media outlets are reporting that Israel has demanded that Lebanon dismiss the officer who sparked a border clash between the two armies earlier this week.
The report, based on "Israeli sources", claims that Israel vowed to "take revenge" against the officer if he was not dismissed and to "treat the Lebanese army deployed along its border as an enemy army, and response firmly and in an unprecedented manner to any attack on his part." (Roee Nahmias)
