State Prosecutor: Check committee against Equal Rights Law

The State Prosecutor's Office submitted its reply to the High Court regarding the petition to include a woman on the Turkel Committee, which is investigating the Turkish flotilla events. It said it should be ascertained whether the process used for nominating the committee members was in keeping with the Women's Equal Rights Law.
"This in itself is a complicated question, due to the wide variety within the investigative committee," it said. The State Prosecutor's Office already said that reasonable efforts were made to include a woman on the committee, which was eventually formed with only male members. (Aviad Glickman)
