Legal advisor: Urban development tax proposal 'unconstitutional'
None
Knesset Legal Advisor Eyal Yinon said during debates in the Internal Affairs Committee that the government's proposed bill on urban development taxes is unacceptable from a legal and constitutional point of view and must not be approved.
The new taxing proposals are intended to replace the old arrangement which obliges landowners to contribute to funding development works on land adjacent to their properties. (Zvi Lavi)
