A German historian has presented documents at the trial of John Demjanjuk showing that a man with the same ID card number and a very similar name was a guard at the Flossenbuerg concentration camp.
Matthias Meissner of Germany's Federal Archive on Wednesday showed original documents from Flossenbuerg listing a man called "Demianiuk" and "Demenjuk" as a guard there in October 1943. That person was identified by the same ID number that is on a Nazi-issued identity card presented by the prosecution which says it carries Demjanjuk's photo and indicates he was a guard at the Sobibor death camp.
