Pearlman associates: Shin Bet statement outrageous

Associates of Haim Pearlman, suspected of a string of terrorist attacks, called the unusual statement issued by the Shin Bet on Monday announcing that the allegations against Pearlman have yet to be refuted "outrageous."
"In a democratic country, if there is no evidence, they need to release (the suspect). With all due respect to the Shin Bet's gut feelings, it is inconceivable that a man be detained for a month in jail while they torture and abuse him," said the associates. The court ordered earlier that Pearlman be released to house arrest due to lack of evidence against him. (Yoav Zitun)
