UK serviceman dies of wounds from Afghan blast

Britain's Ministry of Defense says a serviceman has died from wounds suffered from an explosion in Afghanistan.
The ministry said Thursday that the serviceman from the 1st Battalion The Mercian Regiment had suffered his injuries during a patrol in southern Helmand on July 13. He had been brought to Britain to receive treatment for his injuries. (AP)
