Al-Hayat: Netanyahu committed to withdraw from 90% of W. Bank
London-based newspaper al-Hayat reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu drafted "a new declaration of principles" that he plans on presenting to the Palestinians. According to the report, attributed to "knowledgeable sources," Israel will commit to withdraw from 90% of the West Bank and evacuate more than 50,000 settlers.
The report claimed that Netanyahu notified western envoys recently that the current situation is not amenable to reaching a final-status agreement between the two sides. Therefore, he plans to present a new interim deal that will be "enticing" to the Palestinians. (Roee Nahmias)
