Eiland: Marmara casualties surprisingly low

Maj. Gen. (res.) Giora Eiland, who is heading the military investigation into the Gaza-bound flotilla raid, said in an interview with the BBC that the aid activists on the flotilla were prepared "to kill and be killed."
Eiland added that the activists' resistance on the deck of the Marmara was "beyond expectations," and that, considering the circumstances, the number of casualties was "surprisingly low." (AFP)
