Kosovo urges UN to shelve Serbia resolution

Kosovo's leaders have urged UN member states to reject a resolution tabled by Serbia seeking to revert Kosovo's declaration of independence.

President Fatmir Sejdiu and Prime Minister Hashim Thaci said Monday they have written to UN member nations asking them to shelve the resolution as an "unnecessary act." They said Serbia's move was "an unacceptable criticism" of the UN's highest court that ruled last month Kosovo's declaration of independence was legal. (AP)
