IDF kills man involved in death of Major Eliraz Peretz

One of the Palestinians killed in the exchange of fire near the Gaza Strip security fence was Bassem Daama, who apparently was involved in the firing incident during which Major Eliraz Peretz and Major Ilan Sviatkovsky were killed.
According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, Daama was an Islamic Jihad operative. During the skirmish on Monday, an IDF soldier was lightly wounded by shrapnel and was evacuated to the hospital for medical attention. (Hanan Greenberg)
